Agland Team Members / William E. Scott William E. Scott, Vice President, is an agricultural economist with a broad background in international consulting and domestic agribusiness and land use planning. Before joining Agland, Scott worked with several private consulting firms including Elliot Berg Associates and Louis Berger International. He also worked for the California Coastal Commission on agricultural land use issues. An expert in marketing for financial modeling, Scott has prepared financial feasibility studies for many types of agribusiness projects including a pineapple marketing project, a fresh asparagus project, a honeydew melon packing plant, a packing and controlled atmosphere storage facility for apples, and a joint venture between a U.S. marketing organization and a Mexican cut flower producer. He has also worked on the analysis of markets for a broad range of agricultural products in both USA and foreign markets. Bill holds a master's degree in Agricultural Economics from Stanford University's Food Research Institute. He was an undergraduate at Stanford as well and has a degree of the Institut d'Etudes Politiques in Paris, France. Scott is fluent in French and has a reading knowledge of Spanish. |
