ALGAL POLYMER TECHNOLOGY (APT), INC. (1995) A California corporation that has acquired the exclusive license for patented technology that utilizes blends of algae (Cladophora) and industrial grade starch from corn, wheat, or potato to produce biodegradable foam packing material with similar characteristics to polystyrene products. INNOVATIVE RESOURCE PARTNERS (1992) A women-owned firm providing a diverse range of economic, financial, technical, and market expertise to both public and private sector clients. The firm assists clients in the key areas of financial and economic analysis, training and human resource development, agribusiness development, health policy and programming, and agricultural and resource economics. IRP qualifies as a Gray Amendment firm for subcontracting and set-asides under U.S. Government contract regulations. FLYNN RAINBOW NURSERY (1985) A California corporation which Agland participated in purchasing from AMFAC Corporation and restructuring from a nursery business with significant losses to a $15 million business earning 25% equity. AGLAND ENERGY SERVICES, INC. (1982) A California-based developer of cogeneration systems and a direct marketer of natural gas which, through merger with a public company, sold over $200 million of natural gas annually to over 8,000 customers in California. CLOS DU VAL WINERY (1973) A $2 million integrated premium varietal wine venture to include a 14,000 case winery and a 120 acre vineyard located in Napa Valley, California. FLORAMERICA S. A. (1970) The first commercial cut flower producer and marketer in Colombia focused on exporting cut flowers to U.S. and European markets. The company has dramatically expanded from $200,000 in sales to over $100 million. |
