Agland Investment Services, Inc. is based in California and was incorporated in 1976 under the leadership of William P. Mott. He continues to serve as President and major stockholder in the firm. Private sector work has always been a major emphasis of the company. This work has ranged from start-up ventures in agribusiness -- particularly in the fruit, vegetable, wine, and cut flower

business -- to the provision of consulting services for major corporations with agribusiness interests such as AMFAC, Wells Fargo Bank, and Labatt (Canada).

Agland organizes programs in which trainees from various countries are sent to the U.S. to obtain first-hand knowledge of modern California agriculture and food processing. Hosting more than 250 commercially grown crops, California provides an excellent training ground, especially for the production of crops under sophisticated irrigation systems.
